# Fabricator > Fabricator is a desktop workbench for building Rayfin apps: chat with GitHub Copilot to build them, watch them run live, and deploy them to Microsoft Fabric. These docs cover the Fabricator desktop app: a Tauri workbench for building Rayfin apps by chatting with GitHub Copilot, previewing them live, and deploying them to Microsoft Fabric. Fabricator is not an API or SDK. For Rayfin's own SDK and CLI APIs, use https://rayfin.ai/llms.txt. ## How to use these docs as an agent - Append `.md` to any documentation route to get that page as clean Markdown. Example: https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/start/install -> https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/start/install.md - [AGENTS.md](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/AGENTS.md) contains the short operating brief for agents helping someone use Fabricator. - Every page carries `app_version` and `last_updated` in frontmatter. Documented for Fabricator 1.20.1. ## Bulk downloads Prefer a section bundle over the full corpus unless you genuinely need everything. - [llms-full.txt](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/llms-full.txt): every page in one file, 306.8 KB (~78k tokens) - **Build** - [Create and manage projects](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/projects): Start a new Rayfin app, open an existing project, clone from GitHub, switch between projects, and rename or remove projects from Fabricator. - [Chat with Copilot](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/chat): Use Fabricator's built-in GitHub Copilot agent to change your app, review its work log and diffs, steer a turn, and recover sign-in. - [Prompt ideas](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/prompt-ideas): Copy prompts for starting Rayfin apps, adding data and access rules, building semantic-model dashboards, improving visuals, and fixing issues. - [Live preview](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/preview): Use the preview pane to watch local changes during Copilot turns, check the deployed app, switch Fabric shell views, and handle busy preview ports. - [Design mode](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/design): Use Design mode to select elements in the preview, queue visual changes, preview themes, and send the changes to Copilot as one request. - [Code and history](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/code-and-history): Browse project files, open the folder in VS Code, inspect diffs, and restore earlier git snapshots from Fabricator's Code view. - [Blueprint: architecture and data models](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/data-model): Use Blueprint to see what your app is made of, what it connects to and which identity each connection uses, plus its Rayfin data model and Fabric semantic models. - [Skills](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/skills): Choose the skills Copilot follows while it builds your Rayfin app, see what each one teaches, and add custom skills for your own guidance. - [Secrets](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/build/secrets): Add API keys, passwords and connection strings that your app's Rayfin functions read on the server, without putting their values in your code. - **Ship** - [Deploy to Microsoft Fabric](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/ship/deploy): Deploy your app to a Fabric workspace with one click, understand automatic redeploys after chat turns, and manage deployments across workspaces. - [Share your app](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/ship/share): Give people in your Microsoft Entra tenant access to a deployed app by email, including Build access to semantic models the app reads from other workspaces. - [Check app health with the Advisor](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/ship/advisor): Use the Advisor's grade, quick checks and read-only Copilot deep review to find security, data and quality issues, then fix, verify, dismiss or mute them. - [Keep Rayfin up to date](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/ship/rayfin-versions): Know when a project's Rayfin CLI and SDK are out of date, and let Copilot upgrade them together while keeping the app building. - **Team workspaces** - [What are team workspaces?](https://spatney.github.io/rayfin-fabricator/docs/team): Build Rayfin apps with teammates in a private GitHub repository, with personal previews and a pipeline that publishes to Fabric. -
